- Mandevwin joins the Band of the Red Hand in Cairhien. (KoD,Ch27)
- Reimon leads an attack on a Seanchan supply camp while Mat and Mandevwin lay a trap for a nearby post. They then move to rejoin Carlomin and the others. (KoD,Ch27)
- Mandevwin has command of the Band of the Red Hand under Mat as they wipe out the Seanchan force led by Elbar. (KoD,Ch37)
The Band of the Red Hand is the personal army of Matrim Cauthon, based on his memories of Shen an Calhar, the elite troops of Manetheren who died defending King Aemon.
